Ipsy Daisy
For fun, I thought I would throw it back to 2017. If you were around in those days, not only do I appauld you, I want to apologize and thank you all at once.
If you weren’t, no hard feelings and welcome. Back in the early days I thought I would become a beauty influencer and try different products and would be it! Needless to say there have been many hairpins turns and pivots along the way, one of those things I changed was the amount of subscriptions and the products I subscribed too.
Ipsy was one of the first to come and leave the blog, and recently I thought I would check-in an see what short of changes they’ve made (aside from the price).
When I first joined Ipsy, I believe it was around $8 USD and now it’s $14 USD (making it around $20 CAN), this will get you 5 Deluxe Sample size products, they have expanded and now offers Glam Bag X, which gives you a 5 Full sized Products at $28USD. As I’m just dipping my toe back in I decided to go with the classic Ipsy bag.
The reason I left last time, while it was fun, I ended up getting repeat products or items I just wouldn’t use. Often times I would collect them and once I had enough to create another kit I would give them away as little gifts or to friends who needed the product I didn’t. I did notice this time around they had more insightful questions as to what you use often, sometimes, and rarely. One thing to be aware of when it comes to IPSY, is while they show you different high-end brands, in reality, this is a $14 gift bag so you can expect perhaps 1-3 higher-end brands or household names and the rest be more boutique and high-street brands.
The bags they come in are cute and quite useful, not only do they make great makeup bags but also a cute elevated way to gift wrap.
Let’s get to the unboxing.
For April the bag has a pretty daisy pattern, inside is a matching daisy highlighter brush from FARAH, bronzer from Ciate, concealer from Benefit, highlighter from MOTD Cosmetics, and Soothing Toner from UNPA.
As I mentioned above, and you probably noticed, there were a couple a couple of well known brand like the Boing concealer by Benefit and the bronzer from Ciate. The rest of the brands I’ve never tried or heard of before.
