September Ipsy Bag - 2023
We did it. A full year of Ipsy!
It’s been fun unboxing the bags each month and discovering new products, and while we love playing with new makeup, we’ve decided to put on unboxings on hiatus while we scope out other fun things! Here’s what was in our final Ipsy bag:
CIATÉ LONDON: Watermelon Burst Hydrating Lip Oil, while it is the 6th month in a row that I have received a lip product, unlike July & August, this one will be used. Back in June we got the CIATÉ LONDON, Everyday Vacay Coconut Lip Oil and it was a hit. In fact, we’ve been impressed by a lot of the Ciaté products we’ve received this year.
PACIFICA BEAUTY: Stellar Gaze Length & Strength Mineral Mascara in Supernova, we haven’t used this one yet as we’re still working through last month’s Fan Fest from Benefit.
PURLISSE BEAUTY, Halo Glow BB Cream Highlighter in Light Gold:
SHADES BY SHAN, Precision Blend: This was a much smaller brush than expected however it is called precision blend so we will definitely put it to the test when it comes to glittery shadows or blending out some errors.
FIRST AID BEAUTY: Ultra Repair Cream was our selection for this month, again we haven’t opened so we can reserve product for when we need it…not while we have three other lotions and potions opened.
Overall we’d give this bag a 4/5, a strong finish to end this season.
As for the makeup graveyard here’s what’s been left behind:
June: There was nothing left behind in June talk about a 5/5 month!
July: We chucked the lip balm ASAP, the highlight from YC collection was also cast aside and the SLMISSGLAM Orange Concealer Brush…while this was our selection for the month, when we went to use it we found it wasn’t made very well and the metal scratch while applying makeup.
August: While it’s only been a month here’s what we haven’t used: HALF CAKED, Lip Fondant Liquid Lipstick in Supreme. As we haven’t even touched it — we’re going to try and gift it to someone who will appreciate its shade and texture.
