What is the latte look
Things move quick in the social media world. Last month it was all about slugging and while I’m sure it’s still trending somewhere online — the next “era” we’ve entered is Latte Makeup.
If I was to guess at least 80% of us who wear makeup are probably following this trend without even knowing it, I know we were. Essentially it’s a monochrome bronzed sunkissed look with limited effort and products.
Here’s how we did it — SPF (always) we’ve been loving our Caudalie SPF from our french pharmacie haul, but we know this is a hard one to get a hold of, so we’d also suggest these popular options: Dermalogica, Ilia and Skincueticals.
Instead of a foundation we’re skipping right through to a cream bronzer, Seint has been a popular selection but for us we used our Anastasia Beverly Hills bronzer in the shade Amber from our Icon box from Ipsy in May.
To fall inline with the monochrome look we opted out for blush but if we’re going for more definition we’ll add some contour with our eye corrector in the shade Chestnut from Revolution.
It wouldn’t be sunkissed without some glow, so we hit the tops of our cheeks and the inner corners of our eyes with a warmer toned highlight. Again, this gem was from the May Icon Box.
We’re not sure if this is playing by the rules, but when it comes to makeup are there really any rules?
Anyways, we still went ahead and used the lasting perfection concealer to give some life back to our tired eyes. We did however keep our eye game simple, reaching back once more into the Icon box for the Modern Renaissance palette by Anastasia Beverly Hills (which is one of our favourites and second time owning it) — using the shades Golden Ochre and Cyprus Cumber with a pop of Primevera in the corners, this adds gorgeous dimension with not looking “to done up”.
Don’t forget about the lips! Staying on theme we used Wander Beauty’s Lip Oil in the shade Skinny Dip (as you guessed it from the Icon Box).
And there you have it! Our variation of the Latte Makeup Look.
