Fruit Salad Summer
Trying to keep with trends is a full time job and we’re doing our best to share our interpretations of them as they come up, so over the next couple of weeks we’ll be unpacking different ones here’s what we’ve collected so far: Strawberry, Tomato,Lemon & Blueberry — we’ve also got a brokeblonde special, that we thought we’d add into the mix at the end of the month…which one do you think it is?
Starting with Strawberry — it’s safe to say Hailey Bieber had a hand in creating this trend…as she seems to with most trends lately (either her or Sofia Ritchie), but it’s a very strategic move when it comes to product placement, and marketing. Not only is she maintaining her position of influence by dropping easter eggs and getting her audience curious about what she’s wearing, but posting on her own TikTok using Rhode products, along with subtly announcing a new launch will keep everyone talking and engage to see what’s coming down the pipeline.
As for creativity, from watching, many, many TikTok videos it doesn’t seem to be that different of a variation off of the Tomato Girl look, instead of orangy-red it’s more pink, but the glowy skin & monochrome look is the same…maybe Strawberry girl is a little more high maintenance because of the layered base and additional freckles, but aside from that both looks a fairly on par.

From the TikTok we know Hailey used her Rhode products including the peptide glazing fluid, glazing milk & peptide lip treatment. She also gave the easter egg that there’s a cream blush in the works, but as it’s yet to be released to market we chose BeautyCounter’s creme blush for our Strawberry Girlie’s we suggest Lychee and for our Tomato Girls we suggest warm Terracotta or Goji depending if you want to go more orange or red.
As for masacara we selected Benefits new Fanfest, because why not try something new! And for our base we’re skipping on heavy foundations and sticking with a creme bronzer from Anastasia Beverly Hills, you may notice this item from the May Icon Box.
